(GO)Blog 7 …Damn .. where did you guys go

Yo my bad… Sorry for the mighty long delay between posts. I don’t really have an excuse. It’s kinda hard to explain to people the lifestyle of a flight attendant. To be honest it is a pretty easy job, with quite a few days off, but things like jet lag and being around too many stupid people sometimes takes it’s toll and you just zone out sometimes. Or sometimes you are actually working a pretty hectic schedule and you just need your down time to just do absolutely nothing. Whatever the case I’m back for 2009 and I hope I can be a lot more productive this year.

So how have you been bitchezzz ?? I hope 2008 was something you look back at with a smile and I hope 2009 is that plus a bag of cold hard cash.

Anyway, part of my reason for writing today of all days is I can’t sleep. I have a flight to KL in a few hours and I should be fast asleep, but my timing is out of whack. Secondly a very close friend of mine has just started a free magazine called Urbain Magazine. From what I’ve seen so far the mag looks dope and I’m only happy enough to contribute what I can to help the mag along the way. If you see a copy pick it up have a read and tell me what you think.

As I read certain blogs, and then think back to what i contribute as a blogger sometimes I kinda get to thinkin what it is exactly I’m here to write about. An obvious fact kinda struck me as I was trying to force myself to sleep, I’m a flight attendant. I travel. Traveling is a term I’m using very loosely. By traveling I mean I go from point A to B. The only thing that differentiates me from other people is that I do it for a living and it often is a longer journey than your average car ride to work. Often we only stay in a city long enough to get to the hotel, grab a meal then pass out from exhaustion, getting woken up 20 hours later by a recorded message saying “hello mr ricky this is your wake up call, have a pleasant day”. Sometimes all I see of a city is what I see on the bus ride from the Airport to the hotel and back or from my hotel room as I’m drawing the curtains to completely black out any light from my room.

Recently I decided that I only plan to fly for another year or so. So within this next year I’m hoping that I can share a little more of what i see in my express lane of traveling, the Quick Hitters, the wham bam thank you maam journeys. When I think about it, it’s kinda bizzare how many cities I visit in a month. Somehow when it becomes a job, the line between fun and tedious becomes blurred and you stop paying attention to where you are, all you can think of is bed and food. I need to break this habit.

So I’m gona dedicate part of this blog to a ‘24 hours in …’ whatever city i happen to travel to. This way I think I’ll force myself to see more of the cities I travel to and allow myself to share something with you along the way.

For some reason I can’t upload any fotos right now so I’m gonna leave you with a dumb video to keep you entertained til i figure it out…

I’m in KL from the 6th-9th … I’ll holler atchu soon..

Recently I’ve been watchin alot of clips and doco’s related to the theories behind what is known as the NWO  or the New World Order. Basically conspiracy theorists believe that there are certain powers in world politics, mainly from the US Government and global corporations, that want to see the world united under one government.

I watched 2 documentaries online recently, the first being Zeitgeist (www.zeitgeistthemovie.com) which is some damn crazy ish, and 911 truth rising which is more a human view of how the actions of the US government post 911 is impacting people in NYC. If you get a chance to watch these 2 I highly recomend them both.

There are so many others apart from these. Alot of the focus of these documentaries is on the belief that September 911 was an inside job, that the Bush administration set up the event in order to gain support in invading a country in the Middle East, which ended up being Iraq.

I know its nuthin new to anybody. Its already almost 7 years since 911 and we all know what has transpired since then. I don’t know if it’s me waking up from my own ignorance but I’ve been noticing how much of an increase there has been in the “Political Awareness” of the everyday person. There seems to be alot more literature out there. Theres alot more information available online about what people believe the American Government is doing behind closed doors. So many artists in music, film, sportstars, TV personalities are waving the flag of revolution. Since I was born American culture always made america to be the saviour of the world. Be it Captain America, Top Gun, Bruce Springstein, The 1992 dream team, Michael Jackson. It’s understandable that Americans themselves believe that their own nation is incapable of being so evil. But it’s becoming clearly evident, even to the average yank that their Government has been doin alot of Shady shit the past few centuries.

We’re witnessing some major changes in the world we live in at the moment. The US is on the verge of electing a black president. Global warming and nature is slowly reminding us that what the earth give us it can also take away from us. Food shortages in an age where wealth and prosperity are at its highest  seems so ironic. Wars that are fought because Governments treat their countries like a game of Grand Theft Auto seems so senseless but it just keeps happening. I just get this really uneasy feeling that something has to give sooner or later. I get this feeling of Unrest, that something beneath the surface is about to explode to the top and the way we look at our world is going to change. Long gone are my impressions of the future being like something from the Jetson’s with flying cars, or a starwars like environment where I can kick it with Chewbaka and R2d2, man there have been less UFO sightings because even aliens are all siting at home watchin CNN sayin .. damn.. that place is fucked up.

So if  things are about to change, what should i expect? How should I prioritise my time, my finances, my freedom. Jordan 4’s are dropping this month, 3’s in October, but is that relevent to my world anymore ?? (a big part of me still says hell yeah to that). Am I supposed to do something or do I sit here with my laptop and wait for an answer to appear on my google search.

I pray that people find it in their hearts to just love the person next to them enough so that we can avoid some revolutionary war that will end a life of freedom. I hope that some common sense prevails and that people wake up to the fact that shit just cant go on like this. I still hope to buy them J3’s at under $200 US .. man I can buy a barrel of oil for $170….

Be safe peeps, be safe.

(GO)Blog 3 - MyFace…

Posted by admin | July 12, 2008, 3:06 pm | 2 Comments »

I was goin thru some of my old personal blogs just to see what kinda ish went on in the last two to three years. It was kinda  funny to see the evolution of my thoughts over the years. Some things were on point, others were just ramblings of someone who had no one to talk to but wanted to talk anyway. Kinda like that drunk guy you see on the street who’s screamin at everybody…but even then no ones listening.

Anyway i came across this blog i wrote about Facebook and i remember that during the time i wrote the blog i was more into the Myspace thing, seeing as myspace allowed me to search for new music.  This is the post …

So I’ve been added to facebook…..

Not willingly, more because everyday i get the same email to join. Facebook is crack for time wasters. (myself included)

Back in the day Mirc used to be the shit..a/s/l would open new worlds. Then they invented instant messanging… the sms for the internet junkie. Then we got friendster, the new way to spy on ex boyfriends or to see who was checkin you out. Then it got serious, myspace became multi billion dollar shit. You could be one with your fav celeb coz chances were you could add them to your 20000000000 friends list. At the same time you could perv on girls from all around the world, comment on fotos… personalise your page as if you had studied html since the dawn of the internet… damn you were set right?? Wrong mofo.. facebook fucked that notion up.

Now facebook tells everyone what time you did a shit, the last time your hand slipped down your crotch and how many people who never take the time to say hi to you using any form of communication media need you on their list to make “platinum God popularity status”. I love the whole idea of making the world a smaller place, esp since Im far away from so many people i miss, but if you want to say wussup…whats wrong with just callin?

Anyway.. i know i’ll become a victim to it sooner or later….so cockfacebook me… i’ll be waiting.

Facebook is now top 3 in first websites i open at the start of my internet session. I’ll admit I’m one of them. I’m a hypebeaster, I’m a Youtuber.. I got msn runnin like a factory worker in China. All day everyday.

But yo.. I’ll still call you to say wussup even if the photo you tagged me in is fuckin whack.
